How to use soy wax candles
There's nothing more frustrating than a soy wax candle that doesn't burn perfectly. Since our candles are made from soy wax, with a wooden wick and in a jesmonite mold, they require a bit of unique care to provide you with a perfect experience. With the tips below, you are guaranteed to get the unique experience of our candles and extend their burning time.
—
The first burn:
When you light the candle for the first time, let it burn for at least 2-2.5 hours. This step creates a "memory burn" that ensures the next time you light the soy candle, it will burn just as beautifully as the first time. This helps prevent wax from remaining on the edge of the holder, thereby extending the life of your soy candle.
—
Trimming the wooden wick:
Before relighting the candle, trim the wooden wick slightly to get an even and beautiful flame. A wick that is too long can cause excessive flickering, so aim for a height of about 0.5 - 1 cm to ensure perfect use.
—
Burn time:
To enjoy the intimate atmosphere of your soy candle for as long as possible, we recommend not burning it for more than 3 hours at a time. This will prevent your soy candle from drowning in too much melted wax, allowing you to enjoy its scent for longer.
—
Maximizing burn time:
By following these simple steps, you will not only enhance your use of the soy candle but also maximize its burn time. With proper initial burning, maintenance of the wooden wick, and limiting individual burn times, you can enjoy the scent and magical ambiance of your soy candle for longer.
—
Safety measures:
Always remember to place the candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts and flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and make sure to extinguish it completely before leaving the room.
